We provide a great start. We are Future Talents Unleashed

As a current student, this is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience to unleash your talent and tackle meaningful projects that have tangible business outcomes. If you have talent, resilience, and the drive to achieve, you could make a significant business impact. But the bar is set as high as the potential rewards. And only the best of the best will succeed.

What to expect

Challenges, responsibility and immense exposure to our business. As an intern with us, you will be assigned to a team or function, and given responsibility for sustaining our projects. Engaging and networking with peers, professionals and senior leadership, you will gain invaluable experience. Not to mention, competitive compensation, and access to various discount programs. At our primary locations you will also have access to events including:

  • The executive leader speaker series.
  • The functional knowledge series (engineering, marketing, ops, etc.)
  • Skills seminars (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Professional Development – Clifton Strengths Assessment Coaching; LinkedIn Profile upgrades, resume critiques, recent college graduate panels, etc.
  • Project Presentation/Report out to executive team members.

We look for drive, high levels of performance and plenty of engagement. If your talent shines, you will gain more responsibilities, enjoy more learning experiences, and have the chance to develop a graduation project. Of course, if you make a name for yourself, you will also significantly increase your chance to build a career with us in the future too. We take project selection seriously as we know that each and every project is an opportunity for our students to learn and grow so you can be assured that we only select projects we believe will be of value to you and the business. Intern projects must be:

  • relevant to business needs or a unique business challenge.
  • able to be completed in the time frame but have the potential for long-term impact.
  • a project that will stretch your professional skills.
  • an opportunity that includes mentoring and coaching opportunities
  • able to evidence if you are the right fit for Hologic, and if we are the right fit for you.

Where it could lead

An internship or Co-op can lead to a permanent career with Hologic. At the end of your internship/co-op, your manager will evaluate your performance and you will both share feedback on your experience. We will then seriously consider you for a relevant career that suits your skills, experience, and talent in either:

  • Marketing & Sales
  • Finance & Accounting**
  • Legal
  • Operations, Supply Chain, RA/QA
  • Engineering
  • Information Services

With opportunities available in North America and Costa Rica, this is what you need to know about each program.

Who can apply?

Internships and cooperative education opportunities

Students currently studying for your Bachelors, Masters or PhD degree, you can apply for:

Internships

Our Internship program is a 12-week placement that we accept all types of students on to. We open our application process in November and close it at the end of February. The program runs over the summer period so if you are selected you will be joining us to start your project in early June of the same year.

Cooperative Education assignments (Co-ops)

These are hosted throughout the year and are anywhere from 4 – 6 months in length. You will receive school credit to complete the assignment. There are two opportunities to join a Co-op. You can apply in September for a January start and in March for a July start. Internships and Co-ops are competitively paid and hosted at one of our US sites, which include:

  • Marlborough, MA
  • Newark, DE
  • Danbury, CT
  • San Diego, CA
  • Santa Clara, CA

Who can apply?

Students who are actively studying during the whole 12-month internship period and the following 14 months.

Internships

Both internships and co-ops last for 12 months. They are an invaluable opportunity to gain professional practice, which will enhance your academic knowledge, and add value and appeal to your resume.

You can apply for an internship at any time of the year. We advertise opportunities in the same way as we post our job openings. So please keep checking our career site for opportunities and when you see something you are interested in, you can just apply.

How to apply

The simplest and easiest way to apply is here. You can also visit your college career website and apply directly there.

The application process

  • The first step is to apply through our careers site ensuring you include your Resume.
  • We will then match your qualifications (Major, GPA, previous leadership experience) to a Hologic project, and as soon as we do this, one of our College Relations team will be in touch.
  • Next, you will be invited to an interview with a member of our hiring team, to determine your interest and skills match. This will either be over the phone or a virtual interview.
  • If the interview goes well, you will be asked to meet with 3 – 4 team members to learn more about Hologic, share their experiences, and discuss your next steps.
  • Should this be successful, we will offer you a place and you will have 2 business days, to accept or decline.
